Public Banking Day of Action
Join us and organizations from across NY state for a public banking advocacy day and rally for the New York Public Banking Act in Albany. Come meet with legislators and push for passage of the New York Public Banking Act this session! The coalition will make arrangements for food as well as provide materials and training for meeting with legislators. Public Bank NYC is coordinating travel from NYC. The day will run from 10am-5pm with legislator visits throughout the day and a big rally/press conference in the capitol building with our legislative champions.
Public Banking NY 2022 Campaign Launch Rally on Wall Street!
Join us for our 2022 campaign launch in front of the NY Stock Exchange, as we urge Albany & the NYC Council to bring public banking to New York to advance racial equity and a just recovery! As Wall Street banks continue to redline and extract wealth from Black and brown communities, New Yorkers are demanding that public money work for public good. Join us as we urge the NYS Legislature and incoming NYC government to take swift action on public banking to advance racial equity and a just recovery. The coalition will be joined by legislative champions, including NYS Senator James Sanders and Assemblymembers Ron Kim and Amanda Septimo.

Public Banking Around the World
As momentum for public banking builds in New York and across the U.S., New Economy Project and The Vance Center for International Justice present an exciting convening on public banks around the world. Speakers will discuss key findings from a new report surveying seven public banks on four continents, and highlight lessons for New York policymakers and activists. Join us to learn how you can take action to create local public banks, as a matter of racial equity and a just recovery.
A People's Economy: Spotlight on Public Banks and Community Land Trusts
The next NYC Mayor and City Council have an unprecedented opportunity and obligation to transform our economy in ways that advance racial justice, neighborhood equity, and ecological sustainability. Join New Economy Project, the NYC Community Land Initiative, and Public Bank NYC for a briefing about immediate actions our next City government can take to build a true People鈥檚 Economy. The briefing will focus on public banking and community land trusts, and is open to all candidates for City office.
